The game was supposed to be skill-based.
And those skills are nowhere near as powerful as UB is.

You said it was my opinion, and that it was wrong of me to state that. You said I don't, and can't speak for others. This tells me you think there are a lot of people who think Ursan is fun. If there aren't a lot of people who think Ursan is fun, then I am right in that statement.

The statement was not made as a 'right' one. It was an opinion, and if you can't see that I was stating my opinion, then you have problems. I also KNOW that this opinion is shared by many other people. I do not know if it is a majority, but I do know it is a large number. I know this from reading what people have posted in this, and other threads talking about Ursan. I know this from talking to people in the game. I even know this from reading what people say on other message boards.

My want for Ursan to change is only partly from the 'fun' factor. Mainly it is because it allows the game to be played 'incorrectly'. Ursan players can complete the hardest parts of the game, on Hard Mode, with no skill. Those players will be the ones using Mending, Riposte, and Frenzy with no cancel stance in GvG while trying to solo the enemy Guild Lord. It may only be PvE, but it has effects in many places.

I hate games with 'God Mode' cheats. I never use them. I know there are lots of people that like them. However, how many games with a 'God Mode' are multi-player? Ursan is virtually a 'God Mode' for Guild Wars, and I'd like the skill to be adjusted to make it 'fun' for some people, but not 'God Mode'.

This is fail. Ursan is NOT GOD MODE. Not even close. No self heal. E-denial > Ursan. Over aggro > Ursan. Many Ursans are of the squishy class variety too. (necros, eles, mes etc...) How about you nerf the monks that are in the Ursan parties too? Oh wait Ursan is god mode they don't need monks. I question your knowledge of GW in it's entirety.

If you want God Mode...this is probably closer to what you are looking for and it takes "less" skill. Only requirement is for a Paragon to C space and use these skills on recharge.

TNtF + SV + adrenaline gaining skill(s) of your choice

You got me to reply. Damn you!!!!!

*gone for popcorn*

P.S. in the meantime you're welcome to look for loopholes in my threads to see if you can come up with more ingenious counter arguments to try and turn the tide of this debate in your favor.

Overaggro? Best sorting out your puller.
Edenial? Use ursan after the edenial.
Ursan is simply god mode. The ability to complete all HM titles with such ease and speed that fast? God mode. Simply, Truthly.

Optional God Mode though. No one is forcing anyone to use it. There's also a simple thing called /uninstall GW.

Oh that's right I almost forgot. It requires a capable and competent team to do things right. *slaps forehead* But I thought Ursan is god mode? I am so naive.

I've only posted in this thread about 3 times.
HM takes a tad of skill, and HM titles were something to work for for the "Wow!"s, but now UB made a joke of it.

The only option is to play h/h or with guild only, since alot of my guild's alliance i've found are hooked on ursan.
The only options are: H/H or Guildies.

I'd rather have someone who will learn to play their profession instead of learn to buttonmash.

EDIT: I would also like to add there is also the grind you have to do in order to accumilate the right rank for the skill.

Having used Ursan (r10 myself, same for a friend I did it with) for EVERY GW:EN dungeon in normal and hard mode and FoW clear:

1) It is most certainly not "god mode" (we used 2 ursan r10 warriors and heroes)-although it sure as hell owns the shit out of any other warrior build I could run.

2)We wiped in many of the dungeons if trying to just c-space like everyone claims is possible, again maybe if you had an 8person ursan group it would be different but i cba to pug.

Flame me all you want over using Ursan, it made the game so much more fun and casual (!!!!!) to go through the dungeons. In order to do them 2man you're still going to have to be somewhat smart to get hero builds in order...

I'll say it, it is overpowered, but I could care less, it's fun, it's fast, it's easy-and it doesnt make me a less skilled player for using it.

No NO NO!

the update is actually:

PvE skills can now be used by Heros.

Limit of 3 PvE only skills is now removed.

7 Hero's is now allowable for use by a single player.

You wish, I wish, we all get a wish

From the box: "You'll prove your worth with every battle as skill, not hours played, decides your fate. Whether battling horrific monsters or competing at the highest levels of tournament play, it will always be your skill that earns you victory or defeat."

So to say it only applies to PvP is somewhat inaccurate.

Ursan does not interfere with player development. If people really want to learn their profession they will at their own pace. It is not up to you nor I to determine when and where they should learn. Then there are also people who could care less about being flawless and just play to kill time and have fun. Ursan for some is just again another option. Something different and perhaps away from the grind fest that occurs during normal play. Maybe or maybe not. To each their own.

Ursan prohibits learning much more so than other team builds. It promotes the motto "the more, the better," a generally bad way of learning: When going Ursanway you want as many of them as possible, as opposed to having a balanced team build (much like most RPGs and even strategy games.)

It was more a general shout-out, not to anyone specific. I always quote if it's in response to someone else's post.
